Kwawu Paragliding festival is a three day event that brings visitors both Ghanaians and foreigners to very spectacular aerial fun where tandem pilots from around the world gather and fly local Ghanaian spectators and foreign visitors during the Easter season. Solo pilots also join in the fray that begins late morning till evening. The festival has become part of Easter celebrations in Ghana, probably the most important entertainment event on the Easter calendar. The first paragliding festival in Ghana took place in 2015 and has been held each year ever since. It continues to attract both newer and seasoned pilots from different parts of the globe who come to Ghana for hours of pleasure. Visitors to the Ghana Paragliding Festival can participate as tandem or solo pilot or a non-flying guest bringing together the international flying community, large numbers of Ghanaians and tourists. Activities start from Easter Friday and ends on the following Monday.
